2012 State Champions!!!!
Pat Hally Wins!
All 7 in the top 15!
What an amazing day for the boys of 18th and Broom.
The support that people gave was simply amazing.
Sacrificing seeing the finish so you could cheer on your teammates was inspirational.
Only 7 got to run, but all 80 had a part in the 38th State Championship!!!
Apostolico: A living testament that hard work pays off, and every season builds upon itself.  Running varsity this year started with your training last year!  You earned it!!!
Higley:  Rookie of the team!  Way to handle a long season and prepare for this season.  Taking the role of a varsity runner right off the bat is tough.  You handled it like a veteran.  You're a fighter!
LeNoir:  THE PROCESS IS THE GOAL!!!  Never gave up, believed in himself and this team.  Never let his brothers down.  Now 11th at States!!!
Smith:  Did the extra 10%, 110% of the time this year.  Rehab is mentally tough, but you gutted it out.  The fruits of your labor paid off big time!  Top Sophomore in the race!!
Casini:  Who knew an 800 guy could do so well in xc!  Way to show your range, guts and heart.  You should be very proud, always putting your teammates first!!!  What a way to end your xc career!!!
Magerr:  What sport are you not good at?!?!  Gutsy, heartfilled, gritty race!  Your finish should be on some type of tv commercial for inspiration!!!
Hally: Confident, sure footed, mature.  Leading wire to wire takes mental fortitude and confidence.  Way to give it your all.
Family, Friends and Alumni come out to support Sallies XC!!!
What a way for most of the team to close out their season.
Many lifetime bests in some of the worst conditions.
JV wins with a perfect Sweep!!!
Brune, Ciritella, Hughes, Foley and Blow go 1-5!!!
Varsity places 2nd and 6 guys make All-County!  Most of ANY team!!!
Hally, Magerr, Smith, Casini, Higley and Apostolico are All-County!!!
Sallies results: coming soon....

The support, camaraderie and brotherhood runs deep in this team.  Watching everyone give it their all was inspirational.  80 guys came together, for almost 6 months, to see where running could take them.  Blood, sweat and even some tears got everyone to this place.  It all started with one of the hottest summers on record.  Weeks of 100 + degree heat didn’t stop you.  Nor did long runs at Ramsey and White clay, tempos around Rockford Park, Alapocus repeats, the extra 10% after each run, bus trips to Philly and NYC, sacrificing for the betterment of the cause.  The list goes on and on.  The coaching staff, past and present, are so proud of how everyone has done this season.  Like many of the seniors said at senior speeches, “the reason I love this team so much, is because I get to run with my best friends every day; my brothers!”

Seniors: Four years FLEW by! It seems like just yesterday I was showing you around Ramsey Rd.   I can’t believe this amazing ride is coming to a momentary stop.  It’s not ending!  Running, this team, your friendships can keep going on.  The amount of support our team gets from alumni is outstanding.  I get email after email from alumni wishing our team well and saying how much they miss everyone.  There is something very special about the Salesianum Cross Country team.  It’s hard to put into words, but every single one of you knows the feeling.  Never forget that!  Always stay in contact.  You will forever be part of the “Long Yellow Line.”

Make it 100!!!
Dating back to 1993, Salesianum XC has not lost a dual meet.
A feet like this could not be accomplished without dedication, hard work, team spirit and fun!
Thousands of athletes made this possible, by simply living in the present moment and taking care of their daily responsibilities.  St. Francis de Sales teaches us to live in the present moment and "be who we are and be that well."

Parents, family and friends....you stepped up BIG.

Freshman win!
JV "A" wins!
Jv "B" wins!
JV "C" wins!
Varsity wins!!
Last year was the first time that Salesianum won our own invitational since the early 80's!  This year we defended that win, and were perfect in our races today!  Very nice job to everyone.
Sunday: OYO Long run.  We have come this far, why stop now!  It's going to be HORRIBLE outside tomorrow.  Low 50's and rain.  Many other runners around the state will NOT run Sunday.  Use that to put a smile on your face while you do your long run.  Coach Lo Sapio is doing a 15k at the riverfront and will be running in the rain.  Not looking forward to it, but I know it will help with my marathon training.  Your Sunday run is helping you on your big goals....go after them!!!
EVERYONE CUT BACK 10:00 ON YOUR LONG RUN.  RAIN + HEAVY SHOES=HARD EFFORT.  Only do 50-80 minutes tomorrow.  Nice warm shower when done!
Monday: OFF....you really deserve it this day!!!
*****Don't forget to email coach: mlosapio@salesianum.org with your runner of the meet vote!*****
